Nelson Fung received his Postgraduate Diploma in Marketing from the Chartered Institute of Marketing, B.A. in Information Systems from the City University of Hong Kong, and MBA from the University of California, Berkeley with concentration in Social Entrepreneurship. Recently, he also completed a certificate of Social Sector Leadership by Haas School of Business, Berkeley through taking courses in the Philanthropy University.
Nelson believes to exert positive impacts to the society while making profits, which motivates him to be involved in various entrepreneurial ventures, ranging from language learning to fundraising startup, helping other charities and social enterprises raise fund with innovative business models. In this spare time, he was mentoring young entrepreneurs through Social-Up Youth of SoInSoGood and Startup Weekend for Social Innovation. Through joining philiaearth, he hopes to contribute his talents in social entrepreneurship to support the business model of providing healthy environment for people to live through the design and construction of green buildings to enhance living space for all, especially those most vulnerable groups such as the children, the elderly, and the special needs. Nelson also aims to collaborate with the philiaearth team in contributing to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal Number 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities). Through contributing his business development skills and joint-forces the company’s talents, he will foster a cohesive collaboration among corporations, non-profits, educational institutions, and governments’ institutions through the various means of advancing green buildings and sustainable cities.
